This system is specifically designed for “Hotrod/Outlaw” 3.2 G-Body and 964 Porsche 911 and a surgical upgrade for enthusiasts who chase analog feedback and power. By replacing the restrictive factory airbox, you unlock the signature flat-six growl that has defined Porsche’s racing heritage for decades.

The engineering focus of this system is centered on the High-Velocity Deck Lid Inlet. intake features an aggressive opening positioned directly beneath the deck lid grille. Unlike standard filters that breathe in the stagnant heat of the engine bay. This placement leverages the natural aerodynamics of the 911’s silhouette, drawing in a constant stream of high-pressure, ambient air. This “ram-air” effect significantly reduces intake air temperatures (IATs), providing a dense oxygen charge that is crucial for maximizing combustion efficiency.

Heatsoak is the silent enemy of the air-cooled engine, especially during spirited canyon runs or track days. Our system acts as a thermal shield, ensuring that even when the sun is beating down on the tarmac, your engine is breathing air that is significantly cooler than the surrounding components. Each system is a comprehensive “turn-key” solution, arriving with everything required for a seamless installation. This includes a high-flow washable air filter, OEM Porsche paper gasket (where applicable), mounting hardware, and unique add-ons designed to integrate perfectly with your 911’s iconic architecture.

This product is designed to fit the following Porsche 911 models:
– 1984-1989 Porsche 911 G-body 3.2L EFI
– 1989-1994 Porsche 911 (964) 3.6L EFI

The possible IceBox configurations are:
– 964 3.6 with factory air flow meter
– 964 3.6 with AFM delete (Bosch 0280130039 IAT sensor compliant but NOT included)
– G-body 911 3.2 with factory air flow meter
– G-body 911 3.2 with AFM delete (Bosch 0280130039 IAT sensor compliant but NOT included)

The filter combinations are:

Important Fitment Notes and Disclaimers:

1) This system will not fit models equipped with a factory A/C condenser mounted on the deck lid. Because the intake occupies the space directly beneath the rear grille, removing or relocating the condenser is necessary. Therefore, this system is best suited for lightweight, performance-oriented builds where improved thermal management and maximum horsepower take priority over cabin cooling.

2) If you own a G-body 911 with a 3.6L 964 engine swap, you must use 964 decklid hinges.

3) We strongly recommend purchasing this kit with a water-repellent air filter sock, which is essential for protecting your engine during heavy rain or car wash.
